For those that have taken a cross-enrollment class at Berkeley, I got tasks on my Calcentral asking for me to turn in my SAT subject tests and AP scores. Did anybody get anything similar to that recently or know anything about it?
Hi everyone I am a psych major. I attend LAVC (near LA) My stats right now is a 3.83 GPA, completed the TAP Program, and completed most of the pre-reqs except for calc. Donât really have extracurriculars Hope to apply to Berk for 2021, what are my chances?
As you still have one year until you actually apply to Berkeley, I would strongly recommend you to have some extracurricular activities to make your stats stands further out. I believe your GPA is pretty good, but if you want to ensure your spot at Berkeley, I may want to continue to try your best and rise your GPA to a further level. However, I believe you have done a great job so far. Good Luck!
@thoss0513 I got the same task, but I donât know what it means. As transfers though, we donât need to submit SAT/ACT scores. I wouldnât consider it a sign of anything. What are your thoughts?
@thoss0513 @tomatocultivator did either of you get the reinstated email or check your names in the directory? Unsure why it would ask for SAT scores since that wouldnt have affected decisions or helped with any university requirements.
Does anybody know what time they typically post decisions?
3PM PST
@Pepsi1022 @thoss0513 No because my account is currently active. And yes, I am in the directory. Did you get the task too @Pepsi1022 ?
@tomatocultivator I didnt however I also never took any APs so thats probably why. Tomorrow is going to be exciting! My email hasnt been working however.
Hey everyone, was wondering what you guys think about taking Calc 3 to âstand out.â My counselor recommended I do this considering calc 1 and 2 are prereqs for Haas. I stated on my app that calc 3 would be completed in spring, but the class has been poorly put together in the last minute by the professor due to covid. Honestly not sure if I can pass the class like this. Would it hurt to drop the class and take something else? I have all prereqs and units completed it would really just be a time filler. Thanks and good luck to everyone tomorrow!
I would drop that class if you donât have the confidence to pass the class. Letâs assume you have already got accepted by Berkeley, but fail the class, Berkeley might take away your offer bc of that.
Anyway, Good luck for you, me, and everyone tmr!
@Josephill Thanks for the input. Realized its 3 quarters of calculus for transfers, I was looking in the wrong place for requirements. I believe business calculus still counts as a quarter of calc though so Iâll probably take that up instead. Can anyone confirm this?
@Abaker34 I personally donât think that it should affect you, especially since it is not a prereq. With everything that is going on and the school closures, they are being more understanding. If you are worried though, I would contact your counselor or the admissions department at Berkeley before you drop the course.
Good luck everyone! Less than 24 hours to go!
Midnight or afternoon?
should be tmrw at 3 PM. im so nervous, good luck everyone.
@Abaker34 I doubt the grade you get, even if you outright fail the class, will put you in any jeopardy of getting rescinded. In a usual year they hardly ever rescind people but with the Covid virus I doubt theyâd blame people for the grades they get this year. It really depends tho if you dont get in this year would you wait till next year to reapply or move on it what should impact your decision to drop. If youâre cal or bust like me id drop it to persevere my gpa.

Iâve had my heart set on Cal Poly SLO since attending community college, but if I get accepted to Berkeley Iâll have to consider my choices. The stupid part of me hopes I get rejected just so my decision is easier ?
