UC Berkeley Fall 2020: Transfer Thread

accepted 3.69 gpa for media studies!

Accepted! 3.89 Poly Sci Cali CC Transfer

But it says for Spring 2021, did anybody else get this? besides @uchopefulsoc ?

I got in for spring semester as well. I looked on the FAQ page and it says for the impacted majors they will bump people into the spring semester sometimes because of the size of the applicant pool.

Did any psych applicants get in? I’m seeing some really impressive GPAs getting rejected and i have a feeling the psych program took almost nobody this year

ACCEPTED!!
Major: molecular and cell biology
GPA: 3.67
Accepted: UCD and UC Berkeley
Congrats everyone!!

Accepted!
Major: Operations Research and Management Science
GPA: 3.475
Very surprised I got in good EC’s and essays, my GPA is way below the 25th percentile and I was expecting a rejection.

In the conditions of admission, does it show only one of the classes you are taking right now under the complete all planned and in-progress coursework with XX or higher GPA for anyone else? I am taking 3 classes right now, but only one of them is listed there.

ACCEPTED!

I got in!!!

Accepted for Political Science
GPA: 3.88

Hey, so I applied directly to Data Science, but in my letter, it says college of letters and science and not my major
am I accepted for the major or just into L&S?

@katherine134455 , honestly, with this COVID thing, I think you’re better off than everyone else. There will be a lot of uncertainty still in the Fall, and who knows
maybe they’ll even do online instruction or something horrible. You can do whatever is prudent in the Fall, and go to school in the Spring when, hopefully, all of this COVID stuff is figured out.

Congratulations.

Rejected EECS lmao I totally expected it
3.56 GPA

Internship at small engineering company
Embedded math tutor in school math lab

yeah /: 4.0 gpa, good EC+personal statements imo and got waitlisted. apparently it’s heavily impacted this year 9% for psych transfers from what i’ve heard.

Everyone in the College of Letters and Sciences gets accepted into the college, not the major. You have to apply for the major during your first semester at UC Berkeley.

@kswanz yeah I had a 3.79 from a t40 but now at a community college, have my RBT certification and a 4.0 for major prep but it looks like they took almost nobody.

I did too, 3.9 cog sci student
emailing my counselor to get some answers

Yo, do we need to send the high school transcript??? that’s what it says on the admission task.
