excuse my retardedness, I'm in a bit of shock, how do I view the fin aid offer??

we both posted this at the same time, haha

LOL, go to see the messages in your mail box, and you will find out…

UCLA’s is so much more laid out, wth is this!

Yes, Berkeley’s financial aid offer is really hard to decipher. I am still trying to figure it out, but I believe that I got 10k in grants, which I am VERY happy about! UCLA only gave me $1800!

^^how did u find out

You have to create a CalNET ID (similar to UCLA’s) and then it should take you to a check list. You click on financial aid and it takes you to a page where you click on offer. It’s confusing.

Mine says:
“Continuing students will not have an Offer Letter to view until early May”

Down below that it should allow you click on 09-10. If you click on that, it should bring another page up that allows you to click on offer.

Newly Admitted Transfer Students
Some students will be mailed a Parent or Student Verification form beginning in early May. If you are in this group of students, your financial aid offer will not be available until after you have submitted your Statement of Intent to Register on My Berkeley Application and you have submitted all of the requested verification documents and they have been reviewed by our office.

If you are not part of the verification group described above, you will have a Financial Aid Offer in Bear Facts available beginning May 2. If you completed the FAFSA based on estimated tax information, you need to update the FAFSA with actual tax information once your parents’ 2008 federal tax return has been completed (or your tax return if you are independent).

Anyway, I still can see mine. But it’s really murky. I don’t know how much I have to be responsible for.

eh I got about 2g less from Cal than ucla errr
