DS22 Rejected at UC Berkeley (Letters & Sciences).
Among other UC’s - Waitlisted UCLA, Accepted UCSB and UCSD.
Accepted into USC Dornsife today, so a good private option has also come up.

Yes. They will. Just wait for a few days.
Hello Gumbymom,
How can we obtain the list of the number of applications for each UC for this 2022 cycle?
Thank you
This spreadsheet has the application counts, broken down by campus and year, for the last several years.
hi guys! this is a little late but I got in yesterday!
S22 ACCEPTED!
Congrats to your daughter! I got into GMP as well—have you tried accessing GMP’s new admit portal? When I enter the passcode, it doesn’t bring me to a new page.
The passcode needs an exclamation sign at the end. !
It will let you in
Very cool videos and some stuff to sign for in the coming week
Let me know if it works for you
There is a meet the GMP faculty advisor professor on April 7 6 pm PT
Did anyone else accepted never receive an email? I’m assuming it just says check the portal but wondered if there was any other info on admitted students day or anything else?
We only received a “check your portal” email on Thursday. Nothing else.
That is correct
Everything else is related to events we signed for including the astrological reception ahead of acceptance
I heard that an announcement is coming from the CS department next week, and it is likely to be a huge disappointment to those L&S admits that did not indicate CS. If you are in that situation, I would suggest holding off on committing to Berkeley until the announcement comes out.
How competitive is Chem at Berkeley?
For 2021, the acceptance rate was 14% for the College of Chemistry with 4919 applicants and 688 admitted.
Will appreciate if someone knows what date will global edge start this year
Hi all, late to post but wanted to include stats for future reference.
Daughter rejected for Computer Science:
In-state
UW: 3.95
UC Weighted Capped: 4.28
UC Weighted Uncapped: 4.64
Congrats to all who were admitted and good luck to those who are waitlisted!
Where to find these data? For example how competitive is Computer Science?
There is not specific data by major but you can see the admission rates by College and yield rate here: OPA – University of California Berkeley
UCB offers CS in the College of Engineering EECS which is direct admit while CS in the College of L&S does not admit by major. EECS acceptance rate hovers around 6%.
