UC Berkeley Haas 2019 Transfer Thread

Apparently it happened it previous years too so it should be okay

@123Ana Did you get a chance to call Haas? I have the same situation and is thinking about to make a call too. Thanks!

I just called the application office, and they told me for some reason the time zone on the system was set to Eastern Time. They said that we’re all good and no worries!

Thank you!!!

So I checked the Haas website. It said that admission decision for continued Berkeley student is on Feb 15. While community student is April 19 :frowning:

@Iwishforhaas This happened to me on the 31st as well. I submitted my supplemental at 11:24PM PST. The deadline is 11:59PM PST. I submitted successfully but it showed that it was submitted on the first. I emailed Haas but they haven’t responded. I emailed the UC application center about this and they said that it shows the immediate time when it was submitted which for me was 11:24PM, so they said that it’s fine.

I’m bummed that Haas will be the last school I hear back from. It’s hard to wait that long. @Iwishforhaas

Hi Guys, I need some advice. So, For Calculus 2 I’m able to complete all of my assignments, tests, and the final exam by March 29th. The class doesn’t end till April 8th so my grade won’t be posted on my transcript till after April 8. However, since I practically know what my grade is till the end of the class do you think I should go ahead and post my Calculus 2 grade on the TAU? I want them to see this grade as it is the very last prereq I need to complete and I think showing them that I have an A, will convince them to accept me along with my performance in my previous courses. Do you guys think this update will reach the admissions in time before they read my file? Or if they have already read my file, would they still see this grade and have them reconsider their decision for better or worse?

@GoodAfternoonSir I wouldn’t update my grades until all courses have been completed. You don’t want to give them the wrong impression. Your grades and application already reflect the potential to receive an A in your final calculus class.

@GoodAfternoonSir I agree with ashley. It’s redundant and you don’t want to post a non-official grade

@GoodAfternoonSir are you taking the class at coastline?

@Joseph590 No, I don’t take classes at coastline community college

@GoodAfternoonSir Was curious because I’m in the same boat where I’ll finish my Calc class early and was thinking about updating me TAU.

You guys have a super early summer my classes end mid may.

@neilsola Well actually, the Calculus 2 class I am taking at Sac State, a 4 year university as part of their open policy program. I did this because my college district has a maximum allowed load for 24 units. So I had to take this one over there. Also, my humanities class at my college is 8 week. After that class ends I will add my Political Science 8 week class that ends on may 20th. Most of my classes are 16 week full classes which end on May 20th.

@neilsola So I’m taking a total of 29 units this semester. I will be earning 7 associate degrees when I graduate from community college on the 22nd of may. I was able to take 30 units last semester because I took 23 units at community college and took 7 units (Calculus I 4 Units) and Statistics (3 Units) at Sac State.

Has anyone gotten an audit or interview request?

@greatiog not yet itll prob come out later this month

@GoodAfternoonSir I emailed my Admission Officer, I’m LnS, and he said to go ahead and update it because reviews are coming up soon.

@Joseph590 Update my Calculus 2 grade? The class I won’t finish till the end of March so I don’t think I’ll be able to give them a grade as I don’t know yet. Only grade I’ll be able to give them is my Humanities class that ends on the 18th of March.
