Can you please tell me how the program is? How the professors are? The classes? The job opportunities? Would this be a good program for a business student to go into? I did not have enough math done for the business administration and econ majors so this is why I picked this major and got accepted. Would you say it’s better to go to a school like CSUF which has accepted me into business?
Thanks!
Not a Media Studies transfer student, but I know 3.
One is pre-law with an internship at a nonprofit law firm thingie, one wanted to be a journalist and one has two internships doing sports news, one at a radio station, one at NBC Sports.
They enjoy their classes. They were all studying together in the lounge during dead week to go over material with 5 other people in their class, so it’s a really collaborative major.
Basically, it’s a outside activity centered major as in a lot of people mold it to what they want it to be through internships and outside jobs.
It works for what you want it to, if you are willing to get outside experience.
Look at the major requirements on the major website or the course catalog and see if you’re actually interested in the classes that you’re going to be taking. Media studies helps with some aspects of business more than others, so it also depends what specific business job you want in the future. Anyways, for business, just get an MBA after you’re done with undergrad. Join business related clubs and work on networking. Business you don’t really need your undergrad degree to be in business to get a job.
