Is it pretty competitive program? Do other schools have similar programs?

Admission is highly competitive.

It also requires overload schedules (up to 20 credit units per semester instead of the usual 15-16) because students have to fulfill all major and divisional requirements of both majors.

MET with business + some engineering major should be considered more competitive for admission than the same engineering major by itself.
