Hi! I was recently accepted into both UC Berkeley and Umich and am having a difficult time deciding which college I want to attend. I received great aid from both schools so money is not much of a factor, however I am unsure of which is better for my intended major/career path (I want to major in neuroscience on the pre-med track). Does anyone have any advice/reasoning that could help me?
hey! just to start off, Berkeley does not have a neuroscience major. You can take MCB (Molecular & Cell Biology) with a neurobiology focus or do a cognitive science major. I was in ur exact position last year and ended up picking Cal because at the end of the day, i saw myself fitting in best there. Both are such great schools, but I think Cal does have a better undergraduate program however it is also increasingly competitive especially in the pre med track(however very doable if you dedicate some time to it! which goes without saying).
Michigan does have a neuroscience major.

It also has more resources dedicated to its undergraduates. Both are great schools. Go for fit.
