I was accepted into both UC Berkeley and UT Austin for business and was wondering which one is better in terms of recruiting for major financial firms. I have received a 20k scholarship to UT, and live in Texas (in state tuition), while Berkeley would be around 50k a year. My major concerns are placement in top MBA programs (Stanford, Wharton etc) and recruiting to major financial firms (Blackstone, Goldman etc) Please give me some advice!

UT’s McCombs School of Biz is on par with Berkeley’s Haas. Do you have guaranteed admission to McCombs?
Berkeley’s Haas is not guaranteed. I’d definitely save the money and go to UT.

Yes, UT is one of the few schools that allows freshmen to be admitted as “undeclared” business majors.
