UC Berkeley Regents Interview 2022

can anyone provide information on the Regents interview (especially for EECS)

  • are they likely to ask you to elaborate on stuff in your application (e.g. a club you listed but didn't write about in essays)
  • do they ask technical questions?
  • What specific aspects of uc berkeley will they ask you about such as clubs or programs?
  • are they going to ask a lot about what you've done / what you plan to do related to your major
  • in general what types of questions do they ask--future plans or about your personality

I am grateful for any advice/experience shared.

Same here. I’m in the same department as you (bioengineering major).

Also same here, but with Biological Sciences. I was also wondering how formal (or casual) the interview is. Is it more like a job interview-like formality or is it more like a conversation? Also, how detailed do they get with questions? I heard that the interview is around 30 minutes or so (maybe up to 45?). I’m wondering whether they ask multiple general questions or ask a few specific questions.
