UC Berkeley Regents Invites?

So invites for Cal's Regents interviews were just released. If you received an invite, what were your statistics (gpa, sat/act, etc)?

Just got the email on Feb 12th, but I already enrolled in Wasington University in St. Louis under early decision so I’ll be withdrawing my applications from both UCB and UCSB. Regardless, hope this is helpful!

Prospective major: Physics
Large Public High School in Orange County
GPA: ~4.5 weighted, 4.0 unweighted
SAT: 750V, 800M, 740W (single test date)
ACT: 35 (single test date)
SAT II: Math II - 800, Chemistry - 800, US History - 800
APs: World History, US History, Chemistry, English Lang & Comp - 5, French Lang & Comp - 4

Slightly above average ECs, National Merit Semi-finalist, pretty good essays - one about being a first generation immigrant, another somewhat off-topic extended metaphor involving superheroes.

I am assuming you are posting to see how competitive you are. I think you are shouldn’t care what the STATs of other people are because people come from different school and have different opportunity. Now that you are invited to interview, just go show what makes you are good candidate (how you deserve the scholarship as a person) and not how awesome you look on paper. The point of an interview is so they meet the person and not how great your resume look.

Top 3% of the applicants are invited to apply for Regents’ according to the scholarship office.

I was invited to apply for Regents, but did not. Does this affect my admissions decision? And should this make me more hopeful? I just got rejected from UCLA so I’m rather sad. :(

hmm… i didnt apply to regents also and i got rejected to ucla but got into berkeley so i dont think it has anything to do with it…

This is weird. I got invited to apply for regents and then the reject me. :frowning: Ah well, SD here I come!
