UC Berkeley Rescind date?

Hi, I'm pretty sure I'm being "re-evaluated" by UC Berkeley. I got an F in a community college which Cal found out about. When will I know whether I will be rescinded or not? By the way, I signed up for my classes at Cal today so as of now, I'm still okay.

…why did you submit an F…

Uhh… I submitted my 4.0 CCSF transcript. But Spring 2009 is when I got that F. I was dealing with family problems and stuff.

Oh you’re a transfer. let them know asap. dont wait for them to tell you

Nope, not a transfer. Just concurrently enrolled to community college while in High School. When will they tell me their decision? I already emailed them but haven’t gotten a reply with an answer to my question.

what specifically did u ask them?

I hate to necropost, but I’m in a similar situation.

xcaliberse, what was the outcome for you?

Judging from xcaliberse post history, it seems that he went to a CC after hs and became a transfer student.

I don’t think it would matter if you took the class while in high school because your high school transcript matters the most.

bbb360 - the issue is whether you list a set of classes and grades in your application, whereever taken, but don’t list the F

If it was listed, as you said, not that big a deal although it is part of the total being considered for the admissions decision, but if the application were deemed fraudulent due to hidden or misstated key information . . . that is an issue whether it was a HS or CC course.

@Demoz

… Really? I already made a thread about my situation, but uh. No one seemed to have a clear answer, and neither did the office when my advisor called them with a scenario.

I failed an extracurricular math course, Trig, at a CC (I honestly wasn’t lazy; seeked help, got the right answers on the homework, failed the tests oddly), but I’m passing with an A in Honors Calculus in HS. No AP courses at my school, so this is the hardest.

I’ve already contacted places at which I could retake Trig in the summer, but. >.> You know, this would really suck if I got rescinded because of this.
Apologies for stealing the thread.

@xcalabrese, transfer students are not required to submit a transcript of their high school grades if all they took were classes at their high school but if you took a course at a CC, even while still a high school student, it is considered a post-secondary education course and had to be reported to any college you applied to. Since UC Berkeley “found out” about it rather than being informed by you I would not expect any leniency. You are almost certain to be rescinded.

@Lemaitre1

Err, I necroposted on this… xcalabrese’s situation occurred in 2009. Sorry for the confusion and all.
