Alright, I fixed the UI from taking 100% of the browser’s width as I too found it annoying when using UCBSE on large monitors. Download the updated version here: [UC Berkeley Schedule Enhancer (UCBSE) for Greasemonkey](<a href=“Dance Party”>Dance Party)

I am going to remain with 08/03; width is preferable to clutter.

Cool update! The names of the courses don’t show up though. I actually tested older versions and this is true for them as well. Not exactly sure what changed…

^ I have a feeling Berkeley might have changed some HTML code on their website because the course title isn’t showing on any of the versions of UCBSE that I released. I’ll try to fix it sometime tomorrow. Thanks for letting me know!

Ugh yeah. Berkeley must have changed their formatting or something.

Suggestion: box of #waitlisted (for both lecture & discussion listings) should be red if it’s above the good ratio (number waitlisted over total number… was it 15%?) and green if it’s below.

Or, combine that functionality with the green/orange/red box for CCN you already have at the left. Perhaps green = no waitlisted, blue = waitlisted but good ratio, orange = waitlisted and bad ratio, red = no space anywhere.

Other than that, I have nothing bad to say; it’s fantastic.

EDIT: Ohh and it would be sweet if the teacher’s name linked to ratemyprofessor.com’s listing for that person (or at least the search results)

A new version of UCBSE has been uploaded. To install go here ([UC Berkeley Schedule Enhancer (UCBSE) for Greasemonkey](<a href=“Dance Party”>Dance Party)) and click “Install”.

Here are the changes:
- Fixed links and course title not working due to HTML code change on OSOC

Thanks for the suggestions, I’ll look into it.

I am currently working on new features such as the ability to toggle width of the table to be maximized or compact as well as the ability show and hide certain columns on the table.

If you want to check out the new features early, you can always get the latest version of UCBSE off of the testing branch on github (https://github.com/athk/UCBSE/commits/testing). Be warned that code released on the testing branch is experimental and may not work.

A lot of the languages that are MT*** (especially Korean, Japanese, Spanish, etc) are showing up only as MWF. This doesn’t seem to be correct…

A new version of UCBSE has been uploaded. To install, go here ([UC Berkeley Schedule Enhancer (UCBSE) for Greasemonkey](<a href=“Dance Party”>Dance Party)) and click “Install”.

Here are the changes:
- Fixed days not showing correctly when a class meets MT*** or SA
- Added configuration menu which allows the ability to hide certain columns
- Added support for ratemyprofessors.com

Thanks for telling me. I fixed it!

^ Wow. This is pretty amazing. No complaints.

Hmm. Once I click on an “[E]” link for a class, I can’t click on any others (i.e. no new window pops up) until I refresh the page. It’s strange. It’s not a big deal, but… yeah.

Also, the column width decreases when I check “maximize table” other than that, I love the new configuration menu. Thanks so much.

Wow, I didn’t think you could make this any better, but you did. Brilliant.

Ratemyprofessors is a great addition.

Can you provide more information? What browser are you using? Can you please provide the CCN of the course of where this is happening? I’ve tested UCBSE in Opera, Chrome, and Firefox and everything works fine. Try updating your browser and see if that helps.

Awesome update! I’m glad you liked the ratemyprof suggestion.

Question: when I install an extension in chrome, it notifies me of the data that extension will be able to access. For this script, it says “It can access: Your data on all websites”. Isn’t that a bit much?

A couple heads-up:

-not sure if this is intentional, but I can click into the CCN and change it. i’m on the latest release of chrome
-i was experimenting and noticed that i can toggle the highlighting of a course/section by clicking the empty space to the left of its row. that’s a great feature! maybe i missed it, but you should make a note of that instruction somewhere. also on that note, it might be helpful to some users if simple key codes were given, to explain briefly what [E], **, [K], etc will do.

I am unfortunately using Safari. Going to switch back to Firefox the minute they make it work with Lion full-screen… It’s not working for all the courses I’m looking up, which is strange - I’ve tried Physics 7B (68958), Linguis 130 (52365), Chem 105 (11364).

I’m going to have to wait to address these issues in a couple of days as I’m going on vacation today.

Great work on everything! However, the link to the General Catalog descriptions is not longer working.

Hello everyone! A new version of UCBSE has been uploaded. To install, go here ([UC Berkeley Schedule Enhancer (UCBSE) for Greasemonkey](<a href=“Dance Party”>Dance Party)) and click “Install”.

Here is a screenshot of the new version: <a href=“Imgur: The magic of the Internet”>Imgur: The magic of the Internet;

Here are the changes:
- Fixed course descriptions link
- Added highlighted courses table
- Lecture sections are not the only ones highlighted now. Sections that are primary, which are indicated by a “P”, are also highlighted.

Sometimes that happens once and a while, but if you refresh the page, everything should reconfigure and come out correctly even if it the opposite of what it’s supposed to do.

By default, Chrome gives you that message whenever you install any extension. UCBSE accesses data only on http://osoc.berkeley.edu/OSOC and nothing else. If you are really paranoid and think all your data is getting sent to me, then you can check out the source code at github here (https://github.com/athk/UCBSE) and verify for yourself that I don’t see any of your data. lol.

Yes, you can click into the CCN and change it if you want, but I don’t recommend it. You can also toggle highlighting of a course by click on the empty space on the left. It was intentional. I made the feature more obvious by putting it into the key.

Safari will never be supported unless you buy me a mac or tell me how to get greasemonkey working on Safari for Windows. It’s unfortunate it dosen’t work in safari though.

Fixed it!
