Just wondering, is anybody on this board there for this major? IF so, how do you like it?
Is it easier to get into this major than others? I'm not choosing this to switch out of it, I truly have a passion for languages but I didn't know if this was impacted (or what the acceptance rates/standards were for it either.)</p>

<p>I have been auditing classes over at UCB for the past month in my language (Arabic) to get an idea of what is going on over there and how well I can handle it. It is also a good way to show prospective professors how commited you are and excited…in the event that you do get in (and I’m keeping my figers crossed for both of us) they will remember how proactive you were and be more disposed to working closely with you.</p>
<p>If you live further away, even coming in ONCE looks good for you, and you can mention on your app that you sat in on some classes. It looks great to the admin. officers. I forgot to mention this which sucks because i have been sitting in on a number of clases.</p>
