Is anyone else a spring admit for Berkeley? Can we take classes in the fall and is housing guaranteed? So many questions.
I commented on the Cal 2015 thread but it’s flooded at the moment
I received admission for the Spring semester. Is it possible to appeal for admission for Fall semester? I already wrote a very good appeal (new information such as big internship, professor’s recommendation, other EC)

Having a spring start is not a good way to experience college socially 
totally agree… and i didn’t apply for financial aid for my cc next semester, cos this is not what I expected for!! I might just go to UCLA.

i feel like i need to go to UCB’s admission office and ask lol, i live in sacramento so it’s possible, and cry to the dean begging him for changing it into a fall admission

Innnnnn, the “Spring 2016” did deflate the moment a little bit but I still fully intend on attending Berkeley.
Anybody who plans on appealing please share info on how you’ll do so; I really want to attend this Fall
I am also curious about every aspect of this January start business. Aside for the Cal website stuff, I can’t seem to find much.
Yeah I got in for spring 2016 too.
Still excited I got in, but bummed its spring. I wonder if spots for fall could open up if fall admits decide to go somewhere else?
I e-mailed my admissions app with the question of spring admits being accepted for fall, so I’ll let you guys know!

Have people here made up their mind to SIR as a spring admit?
@poggibaby yes, I SIR’d. I’ll be moving to Berkeley in the Fall anyway and living with some friends who have a spot for me in their apartment and I’d rather go to UCB in Spring than UCSD in Fall… I’m going to look into the feasibility of taking summer courses to graduate “on time,” and if that doesn’t happen, then oh well, UCB is my dream school!
@melimoo Great! I think I’m going to SIR UCB too cos UCLA is kinda far away and costs me more. I was worried about the graduation time as you but I think we can take summer classes to make up the units:P My plan for fall would be internship in my mother’s friend’s husband’s construction company. (i know lol) What about the chancellor’s reception, are you planning to attend? I already signed it up, still hoping miracle comes out that I could attend Berkeley in fall tho… Well, good luck for your everything! I think if I were to be admitted in the Spring rather than the Fall, I’d have to look at it as a seriously prolonged summer vacation.
