I have just received the UC Berkeley supplemental form and I would like to know of anyone who was admitted by submitting this form. Additionally, what are the statistics of students admitted who completed the form? I've only met people who were not admitted after supplying this information.

I don’t know if we will ever really know the answer to that. I’ve read anywhere from 25-50% of those who were “supplemented” get accepted, but who really knows? It probably varies from campus-to-campus, year-to-year and from student-to-student.

I know it is hard, but try not to over-think it. My daughter was supplemnted by Berk and LA and we just decided to think about it in a positive way. Whatever the outcome is, as frustrating as it may be, is what is supposed to happen. Que sera, sera!

I am a 2nd year student at UC Berkeley, and I also received the supplemental form when I was a senior in high school. I have heard that the form is just a way for admissions to know more about a student, so it is crucial for you to fill it out to the best of your ability. I’m not sure about statistics, but one of my high school friends at the time received supplemental forms for UC Berkeley, UCLA, and UC San Diego and was admitted to all three schools. Hope this helps!

It’s not a bad sign, but from what I’ve seen from other posts, the majority of the people get it and it doesn’t mean anything. This is also stated on the bottom of the letter.
