Hello there, I started this new discussion hoping that those applicants who received Berkeley’s transfer supplemental essay would provide us some information.
What prompt were you given?

Most likely it means they haven’t decided about you and want more information.
I’m not sure how many variations UCB has. Davis has three, as does UCLA and UCI (I think). UCB might just have one. Not sure.
I didn’t get one! Sorry for not making that clear.
I wanted to see who gets those requests.
The prompt was along the lines of “what quote or phrase resonates with your life the most and why?”. It’s usually something like “which of the four defining principles do you resonate with the most?”, but they threw a curve ball this year haha
@motivate14 that’s the Haas supplemental. Is that what OP is talking about? I thought he was talking about a general application supplemental.

Yes, general application supplemental.
@darren808 I got the regular application update for transfer students (Cal. Community College) but there was no essay part
