Hello, everyone.
On the Berkeley's supplemental form, there's this section where we need to list our Major Prerequisites and grades we got in pre-reqs. However, since I'm a Philosophy major, barely any CCC offers pre-req courses for Philosophy major at Berkeley. Should I just leave it blank? There is NO recommended courses for Berkeley's Philosophy major..

This is confusing. I don't think last year's applicants had to submit the supplemental forms. Thank you for reading!

Well I know last years applicants DID have to submit forms. I’m in sort of the same situation as I will have a pre-req or two missing, my best guess at the moment is you would type in that the course is planned and the expected term is Fall 2011 at UC Berkeley. I’m gonna research a bit before I fill anything out, but if there are pre-reqs on their that your school doesn’t offer that would be my best guess.

^ thanks! I didn’t know that last years applicants had to submit too. Please update me if you find out anything! and I will email Berkeley tonight…

Hey, I have the same problem and I am also a philosophy major. I have all three major pre-reqs missing. This is because I don’t get offered these courses @ my CC and I think many other colleges don’t offer it either. But I don’t think it matters unless you have IGETC completed.

Nonetheless, can you post on here what Berkeley says? I have a friend who applied to Berkeley last year as a philosophy major, and if I catch him on, I’ll post his answer on here also.

For the same supplemental form, when they say “In progress and credit/pass units”, I’m in a quarter system at my cc, do I only include winter session and not spring? Also, credit/pass units means non-UC transferrable units right?

I’ve noticed that most colleges don’t offer these courses; however, I do think that it would look really good if you manage to get those courses done by taking online classes or something. I would just call Cal. By the way, I had to take courses from colleges that are in different cities to get those pre-reqs done, but I’m not a Philo major so I don’t know how hard it is to find a college that offers those pre-reqs.
