UC Berkeley Supplemental Freshman Questionnaire

I received a request for my Freshman Supplemental Questionnaire on January 26 and i completed it 6 days afterward (I got the socioeconomically disadvantaged version).
I have an SAT Score of 1720 and a GPA of 3.96 .... I clearly don't match up with the Berkeley Average and I'm really worried that there are also people with 2100+ SAT scores and 4.2+ GPA's in the "maybe pile." What do you guys think?

4.2 UC GPA at highly competitive public school, 2120 SAT, and unique ECs. I didn't get one for Berkeley, but did for UCLA (the talent one). I guess we'll see how it all plays out in the coming weeks.

Orien, how are your SAT II's? are you instate?

nvm, just saw your chances thread and can't believe you got a questionnaire for UCLA. perhaps you didn't emphasize your businesses enough? lol, either way, i'm impressed.

@nooob They weren't too good. 740 in Math 2C, 650 in World History, and 640 in Literature. I'm in-state.

[edit] Thanks, I'm not really sure though. I ended up discussing my businesses more in UCLA's supplement.

2090 SAT I, 790 Chem SAT II, 690 Math II SAT II, 3.85 UW GPA, 4.24 UC GPA, out of state, decent ECs, received talent questionnaire and assumed it was for my fencing.

I'm sure this has probably been discussed, but is it weird that I got a Berkeley supplemental questionnaire but not one for UCLA?

Thanks

not weird at all, there are different people reading your application and berkeley obviously found it necessary for a questionnaire and LA didn't.

This might be totally wrong, but if you get a supp from CAL, does that mean you have a pretty good chance of getting into LA?

No, totally different institutions

no, many people have been accepted to Cal but rejected from LA>

Is cal/ucla done sending these out already?

I never say never, but unless Cal and UCLA have completely gone off course, yes, all supplementals have gone out.

I know this isn't the place for chances, but this isnt really asking my chances...

I didn't get a questionnaire, and I'm at the point where I'm wondering whether you think I'm in the clear, or rejected already. Do you mind giving me feedback? I'll just give you a brief taste of who I am :)

I am a female applicant from Vancouver, BC, Canada, (OOS and international)
SAT: 2200
ACT 33 (didnt submit)
SAT ii: 790 M1, 750 M2, 710 Chem
GPA: something like 4.3 on the UC Scale... from what I remember
Essays: really good, but not my best as they were the first round of applications I went through.
ECs: (just a few brief highlights) Girl Guide Leader 3 years, Team Leader for Ismaili Young volunteers, Literacy Tutor at the Down Syndrome Research Foundation, Founder of DS awareness club at school, Senior Netball 3 years... a few more.
-Attended Shad Valley at McMaster University this summer, took part in research, won Best Business Plan at RBC Entrepreneurial Cup.
-Duke of Edinburgh's Awards at Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels.
-The usual academic honour roll awards, and some outside ones.

Anyways, I know since I'm from Canada it is hard to tell, but what do you think?
Please no snide comments, I really didnt want this to turn into a chance thread. You can PM me with an answer if you dont want to disrupt the thread :)

^ wrong place to ask.

^^ the UC's only look at math II. your stats overall look good, but are you applying for financial aid? i hear that affects an international's chances at any school.

No int'ls cant apply for fin aid. at Cal.
And thats not true because most schools count Canadians the same as US, and therefore its need blind.

Yeah if I get into Berkeley, dont even know how ill get the money.

And Black Lantern, did i not say you can PM me? Also the UCLA thread is full of these. Thanks noob.

olivemol, youre not the only person in that scenario. I am nowhere near Berkeley statistics either. I got a little higher SAT score than you... 1900.. >___< 760 680 sat2s but my GPA is not as high as yours.. not even close. I am in-state (pretty close to berkeley, san francisco). My sister is @ CAL right now <= i don't know if that matters. And I got the questionnare about hardships(? I believe.)

yeah you said i can P.M you but does that mean i have to? you think i have to listen to you? your fault for even posting that here. thanks noob.

***?
i never said anyone had to. and i wasnt even rude in my post. i was just asking for help. and thanks to those who did PM me.

you seem like a jerk, who is obviously bitter toward girls because you cant get any.

i hope you get in!
