UC Berkeley supplements ?

My friend just received an e-mail asking to fill out an extra supplement along with submitting a recommendation letter. I know that this is for borderline applicants, but I'm just shocked that UCs are reviewing applications already (they already know who's in, out, and borderline?). Because they have already essentially made up their decisions, why does it take so long for decisions to come out? Not knocking the system or anything, just curious ! :)

And I did not receive a supplement .... I don't know whether to be worried or grateful

Your friend got a supplement request from UCB already? Man… I want one haha. Do you know when they send them? Or period of time they’ll send them?

I heard that they stop sending around late January or early February? Just pray that you get accepted and don’t need a supplement ! By the way, does anyone know if UCs take senior grades into consideration during the application process ?

No, senior grades are not usually considered, unless they are requested as part of a supplement.

^I don’t think the UCs take your senior grades into account. The final transcripts are only required if you decide to attend.

I’m sorry, but I will be resurrecting this post as it seems the answers seem incorrect.
To start off. I had also received a suppliment from Berkeley about twentyinutes ago. I would like to say that UCs do consider senior year grades in a suppliment but not on an application, the one sent on nov. if UCs did look at Senior grades, UCs would ask for mid year reports
