@GoldenState1 What poster about the summer session? I never got that.
@hailey5799 it was @justtransfer417 on page 42, sorry I’m at work and posting and reading literally next to my customer’s lol
@GoldenState1 Nevermind, found it, just applied, let’s see now.
I only have 2 addresses, but like other commenters have said, I don’t think it has anything to do with admissions decisions. Or at least I’ll tell myself that so I don’t cry myself to sleep for the next 4 nights :’)
for those of you who only have 2 addresses, 1) do they have elongated zip codes and 2) check your original UC app, did you include the extension when you applied?
But I do agree this doesn’t mean anything probably it’s just fun to mess with to pass time lol
@flaminhaute when I look at my original app on the UC website it doesn’t include the elongated zip. But in my MAP it includes the elongated zip. I only have two addresses I’m really hoping this glitch doesn’t mean I was rejected.
Same as @inspiredbysleep it was elongated on my MAP but not on my application, only two addresses.
Also if you check on Twitter, UCLA admissions follows Berkeley admissions but Berkeley admissions doesn’t follow UCLA admissions, such shade lol
@flaminhaute 2 addresses, elongated zip, did not elongate my zip on the original UC app.
however I can’t remember/don’t know if the elongated codes were there all along or if they were recently changed
@hailey5799 @futjewlaw see I feel like yours must have done the full 2-4-2! Did the Stree/Lane etc. Part of your street address become abbreviated on MAP
What I should be doing: filling out my alumni scholarship application
What I’m doing instead: fueling conspiracies and anxiety
what I already did: fill out my alumni scholarship application
what I should be doing: studying for my 6 essays, 4 finals, and 20 minute presentation
what i’m doing now: freaking the f*** out about these conspiracies
@flaminhaute i had already abbreviated Drive to “Dr” on my original app. MAP says Dr
Welp! Let’s hope the address bs doesn’t mean too much. I felt that I was a very strong candidate for my major and literally no one goes for mine so I thought I had a good chance. Not going to lose hope and neither should you guys @hailey5799 @futjewlaw
@flaminhaute I have two addresses on MAP (both with elongated zip codes) and used the same elongated zip code on my original UC application. MAP did abbreviate Avenue to Ave, but I honestly don’t remember if it was like that before or not. I’m not really worried either way about the addresses. What the status update on MAP says in approximately 96 hours will be a much better indicator of their actual decision.
I turned to reddit because I’m obsessively looking for the answer to this address glitch and someone wrote this back to me :
“This is all false information. There’s no way to tell your admissions decision based on addresses. But to put you at ease, I only had two addresses and I was admitted. Do not worry yourself now, you’ll find out soon enough.”
So more hope for All with the 2 addresses
How do you look at your original application?
I tried the summer session enrollment hack and it said “You do not have any Financial Aid information ready to view. Please check Financial Aid and Scholarships or contact Cal Student Central for more information”
@futjewlaw apparently that doesn’t work until the day of decisions so you’d find out like 3 hours earlier (but it’s something!) like you’ll notice new tasks for pre sir students
I received the cal alumni scholarship email 13 days ago and my portal shows newly abbreviated addresses (but only 2). I will post whether or not I get accepted so that future applicants can see whether these misc. signs really mean anything! Let’s hope not lol
