@blueraccoon13 I think you have a good chance, considering your GPA is on the higher range for your major. Here you can check your major and previous transfer admits statistics to get a feel on the rate

@viviantong Thanks! I’m really worried because I’m an international out-of-state student. I know that UC’s would prioritize the residents. And I have one freaking terrible 2.7 English 101 (finally that teacher got fired thank lord) but other prereqs are 3.8+. Trying not to lose hope!
This is one of those things that make it tricky with Cal… A person with a 3.6 will have just as much chance as someone with a 3.9 b/c of the essays. So I feel like anything is possible. I’m rooting for you guys.

@JudyJacks the acceptance for poli sci is around 30-35%, with gpa ranges between 3.6-3.9
So I think with good essays, your background, and experiences, you have a strong shot.

Guys, I found that some of my friends have “Major prerequisite” form on their Cal portal, besides that “General education/Breadth” form. However, I only have one of them and was not informed anyway by cal to fill the “major prerequisite” form. I am wondering if it is only me…
Note: both my friend and I are applying to L&S

I applied to the CNR and I only have 2 items: Major Prerequisites and Application
Math major here. He filled it out in the middle of April. Apparently he was informed by Cal weeks ago. Maybe its for select major…
