UC Berkeley Transfer Waitlist Fall 2018

@bicboi88 What’s that?

@yellowdragon69 oh I was just asking if anyone gets anything that kinda tells you about the decision

@bicboi88 too soon :slight_smile: !!!

@bicboi88

Considering that Berkeley just let in a large amount of students off the waitlist, I’d assume the earliest we’d hear back again is Friday. Although more than likely it could be another week before anyone here’s back, because last year lots of people got admitted around the 20th of June.

Hey guys, don’t give up hope. One of the student who spoke during the welcome event for transferring students mentioned she got accepted in the last batch with a low GPA for Cal standards (I think she said it was below 3.4 or so). Yet, she is recognized for her work in immigration issues (I think she’s a Sociology major) and is doing really well despite getting in through the last closing window.

I honestly think that if you’re passionate about your major, success will find you no matter where you go. Good luck!

Did you guys pay the SIR?

Wow this is like the fourth time you ask, are you having trouble with it? did you try calling admissions offices or something?

I didn’t call them,I just chose accept offer and no payment showed i need to do.

huh that’s weird, do you not see that amount in your finances tab? where it says “amount due now” does it show anything at all?

$0.I remember when i accept offer.They show the i dont need to pay the SIR.Did u pay the SIR?

@yinxuan Were your UC applications waived? If they were, then you do not have to pay a deposit for any school.

amount due now is 0$.But i check the make payment. It shows Account Balance is 250$.

Guys i found it. Thank you!!!

@yinxuan Nice!!! happy you found it!

If I got into college of Letters and Science and applied as a Math major would I be able to declare another major like Chemistry since I have all my lower divisions completed for Chem except Ochem…? If we have these questions should we email our admission officer ?

@itslit Assuming you are referring to a Chem BA which is offered at LS. It will be alright as long as you graduate on time and that should be what they care the most. Call the admission and follow the instruction, you should be able to reach to a counselor instead of admission officer as an admitted student. If you would like to get a Chem BS offered at the College of Chemistry, that’s a total different story.

Just curious, are you a CA resident?

@hobsonsregister yeah I saw I can do the BA, thanks for the advice I’ll call admissions tomorrow.

And yes I am a CA resident

Just wondering, anyone got admitted from appeal into L&S majors so far?

@lalala233 yeah, a bunch of people from L&S got in already. (should look few messages back) some applied math and other majors as well

Oh, I saw those. But if I’m not mistaken they were waitlist admits? I was asking about appeal.
