rejected
I don’t want to get anyone hopes up, i think it’s safe to say that we all got rejected. But if the email is like that I’m guessing whoever is in charge of making the email got lazy and just decided to copy pasted the freshman rejection email and sent that to us.
WHat does that means freshman seats?
I am puzzled that the number of transfer students already enrolled are only half of last year. Are they reducing their enrollment?
This process has been so unprofessional from beginning to end. Even now Berkeley sends a blanket email referencing freshman applications to transfer waitlists. What a joke and it’s honestly an insult to everyone who spent two months checking their portal daily.

Unbelievable they are so careless that could make a mistake on admissions decision emails. It’s ridiculous.
Apparently UCB accepted a lot of students cuz they really need money last year.
Honestly we wrote them 7 essays and poured our hearts out for this crap! And they can’t even properly reject us and acknowledge us for who we are. That really stings…

@bicboi88 yes! Excited to be there next year! I am going to accept my housing tomorrow. Berkeley really missed out without all of us. So much of what we have all done cannot be shown on an application. Best of luck to you all. I hope this doesn’t diminish how you see the achievements we have all had over the last few years.
Thanks brother! I definitely feel closer to you all after being put through the same washing machine of an admissions process. One day it’ll be Berkeley asking one of us us to speak there, and you’ll get the chance to write them an email meant for someone else after leaving them waiting for months and months.

I couldn’t have possibly tried any harder, I had all honors classes, a 3.96 GPA, and every EC imaginable including ASG Vice President. At the end of the day this feels more like gambling than anything else.
@OdinFox I feel you. That’s life, isn’t it? Let’s be motivated from this experience and show them how good we are!

Wow they really have no respect at all for waitlist student. But whatever. We did all best and we all will do best for what is upcoming. Good luck for everyone here and we all deserve to be a great people AND Cal is too small for us. The fact we should consider is that school does not define who we are. We define ourselves. And aggiess here I go
