Uc berkeley transfer

I was waitlisted for fall of 2017 but as it appears I won’t be getting of the waitlist I’ve started considering other pathways. I will be attending cu boulder in the fall (honors program) but berkeley is still my dream school. I was wondering if it would be possible to transfer to berkeley after a year because you only need 60 credits to transfer and I have approximately 30 from ap and dual enrollment. The only problem would be possible that they wouldn’t get to see my college gpa except from high school dual enrollment, and I only took 8 credits

if you want to go to UCB, i would suggest you don’t head to Boulder. You will be applying as an OOS applicant and will find it tough to compete. That said, I’d suggest you go to CO (as long as you can afford it) and make the most of the opportunities there.
Good luck.

Your best path to Berkeley:

Assuming you’re a CA resident, start at your local CCC this summer and look at the transfer guidelines on Assist.org. You may be able to transfer in a year with your APs and dual enrollment, but you’ll have to work hard to meet ALL the requirements for your major as well as keep a high CCC GPA.

Transferring into Cal is no picnic no matter where you are. Use this tool to see the actual GPAs for admitted transfers at each UC campus by major.
