UC Berkeley vs GaTech for Industrial Engineering, help needed.

I am an international student for whom cost is not a factor. However, important factors are rigor of curriculum, internship/co-opts opportunities, college life, employment opportunities, overall prestige, department and professors’ reputation.
Georgia tech has been the no.1 program for the past decade or so and Berkeley as of now is no. 3 (usnews). I am not looking to be a hardcore academically oriented student, I am planning to be very social, make a lot of friends and make college a personality development experience.

Cheers.

I have a Masters in IE. For straight up IE/OR, I don’t think it matters which school you go to. I do like the various concentrations that Georgia Tech offers.

I can’t comment with any authority about which school might better fit your personality. I only know Georgia Tech has a reputation as a nerdy school. I live about 30 minutes from Berkeley, and while it’s not known as a party school, it seems like you’d have plenty of opportunities to socialize.
