I have a bit of a dilemma. I got accepted to UC Berkeley for Economics (Pre) and UCLA for History (Alternate major), I have toured both schools and honestly think UCLAs campus and vibes are way better than UC Berkeley’s. I was committed on going to Berkeley for my major despite my reservations but now I found out it’s not even guaranteed to declare Economics and that only ~50% of transfers get into the major. For future career plans I’m not sure but leaning towards a law degree. I guess I just would like to hear opinions on which one is a better choice. I liked UCLA’s campus vibes and the area is a lot nicer than Berkeley (my opinion) but Berkeley has a stronger econ program, but way more competitive.
