UC Berkeley vs. UCSD (premed)

I'm seriously confused and I know it's getting close to the deadline to decide, so I'm feeling kind of panicky.

I live in norcal, and my brother went to Berkeley so I'm kind of familiar to the place and always kind of imagined myself there, but I visited SD and I also really like that, but I don't know if it's enough to go there.

I know Berkeley (major: Molecular & Cell Biology with emphasis on neurobiology) is my kind of place, socially, and it's close to home which I also like, but premed there is really competitive and tough and I don't want to die there.
I know that SD (major: human biology and psychology, college: John Muir) has a lot of opportunities for research and things for premed because they're really focused on undergrad life sciences, but it's also "socially dead" and I need to really try to have fun there (although there is a beach).
I'm a regents scholar in both places, but I don't know how far that'll get me. I'm focused on my academics and have the serious goal to get into a good med school, but I don't know if that's enough to do it. I really don't know what to do, because SD seems like the better choice if I'm just thinking about academics and med school, but Berkeley is.. well, BERKELEY, and I'd love to go there, and I know I'd have fun.

Please HELPPPPP.

Hey, I am actually in the same situation right now. I got into ucsd as human bio major, berkeley as molecular/cell biology plan ii, and ucla as physiology major. I am having the hardest time deciding. Where did you decide to go at the end, and do you not regret your decision?

MCB at Cal has one of the higher mean STEM gpa’s. Unless you were accepted into the 7/8 year program at SD, Go Bears!
