UC Berkeley vs UIUC (university of Illinois urbana)

I am going to major in computer science and I got accepted into two top computer science schools: UCB and UIUC.
UCB is ranked #1 and UIUC is ranked #2 in computer science

I really want to go to UCB but after hearing many many horror stories about how the classes are extremely competitive i'm having second thoughts. I also heard that the classes at UCB are graded on a curve and only like 10% of the class gets A's, 10% b's and the rest c,d,and F's. ***...I also heard many people drop out and if you major in EECS or any engineering major you can kiss your social life good bye.

On the other hand, I did not hear a single bad thing about UIUC's computer science program and I actually want a real college experience.

However, the only thing that's keeping UCB on my list is that CS grads get $110,000 the second they graduate. And I like money.

Cost is not a factor since i'll be paying international student tuition for both schools. though UCB is $10,000 more.

Which school is better for CS?
And if you are in Berkeley right now and doing an engineering major can you please tell me your experiences? I heard the weedout classes are ridicously hard.

bump.

please i need an answer.

However, the only thing that’s keeping UCB on my list is that CS grads get $110,000 the second they graduate. And I like money.

Uh, no they don’t. Who told you that? Cal CS grads do not immediately get paid 6 figures once they graduate.

are you talking about getting paid that much in YOUR country?

Is this real? #1 v #2? Go to the less expensive one.

But is this really a question?

I highly agree. Go to the one with less expenses. That way, you don’t have to pay all that money back in your future. It’s a pain.

Berkeley’s CS is very much worth 10k more than UIUC’s, in my opinion.

A few Berkeley CS grads get 110k or more fresh out of college, but the average salary rate of Berkeley’s CS fresh grads is something like 80,500, still one of the biggest, if not the biggest, in the whole US. https://career.berkeley.edu/Major/CompSci.stm
