Hello,
I was recently admitted to both Michigan and Berkeley’s engineering program and was trying to decide between the two. I was comparing the two but could not come to a final consensus. I hope to do something Aerospace related for a career. I am out of state for both so the cost is probably near the same.
Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks
Have you visited both? Both are superb engineering programs. Michigan is more evenly balanced and it is fairly easy to move between different engineering disciplines. Michigan is ranked significantly higher in aerospace but lower in others.
What about settings? San Francisco vs Ann Arbor? Do you want a more urban school or more of a university town? Where do you envision yourself working after college? At what type of company? Cal is a bit wilder, Michigan more down to earth.
If it was me I would arrange an admitted student trip ASAP and get a better feel for the campuses. Try to do while classes are still in session and students are not heads down studying for exams.
