@CrewDad New college of florida a near ivy? How is that?
That’s my point. Vassar’s reported scores will be higher than Berkeley’s as they don’t report superscored SATs
If Berkeley did superscore, and the superscoring resulted in just 60 additional points, Berkeley would rank~ #25. You have to be careful with these pesky rankings, oui? ![]()
Actually, #18 was intended as a question. Does Vassar superscore when filing their CDS information? I’ve yet to see a firm indication of this, one way or the other.
Well darnnnnn. Was that question mark always there?
The CDS doesn’t disallow reporting superscored test results
Vassar does report superscored test results to the CDS org. A Tufts admission officer stated that they do as well. Considering college administrators incessant pursuit to improve their institutions USNWR, etc. ranking, it’s only logical that they would report optimal scores.
Some colleges and the Ivies don’t report superscored ACTs, while many colleges do, so rankings that rely on ACT comparisons are also misleading.
Just to let you know, I chose berkeley! It was a difficult decision, but I would have been silly to such a terrific (and cheaper) school down.
Congratulations on your achievements and decision, and good luck, @doody1425!!
My daughter just chose Berkeley over Vassar and Brown. @doody1425 do you have any regrets?
Better to ask that six years from now…
