@MysteriousSoup what did you write in your essay?
nothing today… :-L
Praying I get the four addresses tomorrow and that’s a sign for what’s going to happen on Friday.
@Orangered123 Have you taken Differential Equation and Linear Algebra?
@link01153113 where have u SIRed? I SIRed to UCSD.
I’ve been lurking these threads nonstop waiting to see when information will be released and I’m finally posting. I SIRed for Amherst and am currently wait listed at Brown and Berkeley. I am fairly committed to the idea of Amherst because wait lists are so unpredictable but being a California native I would be lying if I said location isn’t playing a huge role in my interest in Berkeley (along with my general love of UCB). Like many of you I’m sure, Berkeley was always my dream school and its just hard to let that go. I did notice an address change twice in the last couple of weeks but right now its 2 addresses for me. Not sure if it means anything as far as what news we will get because I had the same thing happen before the decisions in April (I remember people thought it meant you were in). I think it just means they’re up to something and hopefully getting closer to releasing decisions. It would be such a relief to get a decision either way this Friday. Good luck to us all!
@Indecisiveness33 Nice, and I agree.
@HATETOWAIT47 I SIRed to UCLA
My friends told me that UCSD is better, but the college that I chose (I chose randomly…) needs 5 humanities classes to graduate…so I SIRed to UCLA 0.0
Well it sounds like a lot of your guys ‘worst case scenarios’ in this instance are still great! So whether you get off the waitlist or not, you’ll be going to wonderful institutions.
I SIRed to UCLA as well but they don’t give you the freedom of choosing classes as CAL does
@Indecisiveness33 - to UMass Amherst or Amherst College?
ay ya boi got 4 addresses but idk think that indicates anything. who came up with this hypothesis?
@OHMomof2 Amherst College. I thought I had a much better shot at getting accepted by Berkeley so when I was wait listed I didn’t feel great about my chances there anymore. It was a pleasant surprise! But I still find it so difficult to move on from the idea of Berkeley. Fingers crossed for my rejection tomorrow so I can officially move on haha.
why is everyone so sure the decision will be tomorrow?
because they release them in waves and i think its more of a prediction. plus freshman were notified on friday for their first wave.
Last year, freshman were notified on friday just like this year yet transfers didn’t get them till July. I highly doubt its tomorrow …
@iwanttotransfer where did you hear about the July date/info?
i was told by the admission office that students will be notified throughout june till july 1st if/as room becomes available. maybe it won’t happen tomorrow but if they’re are saying then students should expect something soon
plz let it be tomorrow though because i cant sleep because of this
the reason it was so late and delayed last year was because there was a hold up in Sacramento. while everyone waited to hear back from cal, there was a debate for funding of public universities at the capital and that is what prolonged the wait. good luck for everyone, and I wish the best. I would love to hear if anyone and everyone is accepted let me know.
