<p>Why is it a bad decision? It would make the school less exclusive?</p>
<p>I think so, and it would tarnish the education imo.</p>

<p>They need money, and there are plenty of people who believe in the legitimacy of a degree earned over the internet.</p>
<p>You can never fully prevent cheating online, and the experience is not quite the same, especially for lab courses.</p>
<p>You can never fully prevent cheating in classrooms, and the experience in a 450 person lecture is not quite the same as an experience in a 25 person lecture, or an experience in a 1 person lecture.</p>
<p>As a public school and the flagship of California state, Berkeley would “make better” on its responsibility to serve the citizens of CA</p>
