Thanks for your time guys

I forgot to add that I want to major in Computer Science, the granddaddy of all impacted majors. Yup that's it, appreciate the help

I think that berkeley would be a match for you in easier majors, but computer science makes it a reach

anything you could suggest to improve my chances?
Is it only a reach for EECS or also for a BA?

I also forgot to include I helped develop a lesson plan for the new web design class, if that does anything at all.

Whenever it comes to remembering what I've done, it's like I get a fleeting case of alzheimers.

Don't be too sure, those impacted fields are very very competitive.

-mean SAT score of admitted berkeley applicants is 1340 according to the new statistics. you have 1370

-mean GPA is 4.15. you have 4.17

-Only 25% or so got admitted with a writing score less than 700

-you're not in ELC

-plus hard major. i suggest not to be so optimistic. I would predict a 30% admission possibility.

what you can do:
-take the SATs in december. i would recommend the SAT IIs because they are worth more in UCs.

-kick-ass essay

-major change? you might like something else...

Thanks, I'm redoing the SAT II's anyways and I retook the ACT's and am praying. As far as the essay is concerned, I'm pretty optimistic there.

Also, would it be easier to get a B.A. in the college of letters and science? If so, is there any drawback to the B.A. instead of the B.S.?

yeah right now you have a low chance... I seem to remeber that the Computer Science program was very hard to get into at berkley.
