Hi guys,

Im a freshman at UCR currently in Biz Econ and I want to transfer to a different UC because of the job market (I hope to work in LA). UCLA, UCSD, and UCSB are the schools on my list that I seek to transfer too. I have found statistics on UCLA Biz Econ and it seems it is indeed the most impacted major in the entire UC system (avg. gpa is 3.81 for admitted transfers for fall 06). My first quarter grades arent going to be stellar, Im expecting a 3.0 roughly. If I apply for transfer for fall '08, will the schools look at my fall 06, winter 07, and spring 07 grades? Will i still have a chance at UCLA bizecon with like a 3.6ish gpa??? i know thats really pushing it...but is there anything else that they look at besides GPA?? I know you have to write a personal statement...but if u have a gpa not quite up there is there any way to push over the edge...maybe good ec's? I would appreciate any response to my question so i can make sure all the proper pre-reqs are completed. Thanks.
