Is it true that UCs cap volunteer hours at 100?

Has anyone heard about this before?

I'm almost one hundred percent sure that they do not.

i had well over 100 total. or did you mean they cap off at one hundred per category?

I think it was supposed to be one hundred per category, but even that doesn't make sense to me

well i still have never heard of that before. all ec's, in addition to being calculated, are observed by real people, who will see your hours first hand without any sort of cap.! yay

regardless, you guys are volunteering for the community and not for college admissions right? =D

yeah.. well both. its a win-win.

Thanks for the help. Also, I was wondering, if I did community service for the school (ie working at the anniversary carnival, helping clean class rooms, etc) should I put the name of my school for the name of the organization and put all the school-related community service I've done together?

Sounds fine to me. Just make sure you note that in your description.
