If NYU look down on people who move from an UC to CCC?

Why not stay at the UC and try transferring to NYU? I don’t think NYU will look at all down on going to a Community College but will kinda wonder why you didn’t want to stay at the UC.

Much better to try to transfer from the UC. Switching colleges twice alone is enough to raise eyebrows at the third school and at grad schools/for employers.

It doesn’t matter whether you are transferring from a CC or a 4 year college, but it might make it seem as though you have a hard time staying at one place which may discourage the AO.

I am at UCSC, and as you might have already guessed, I hate the environment here.
I thought I can handle it, but I hate it so much that I cannot imagine myself here another year.
I was born and raised in the city, but it was the only UC I am accepted to.

I can agree with the above posters that I would look a bit strange to want to transfer again. I think they might take it as a lack of focus or resolve to stick with something.

what UC are we talking about?

paddy already said UCSC

I would try to stay there because it is never looks good to transfer from a 4year to a cc to another 4 year but if you can’t bare to stay there one more year then go to a CC, but that is a huge disadvantage now for NYU
