bump, thanks!

bump, I’ll chance back!

UCSD, UCSB, UCI match
UCLA low reach
UCB reach

Good luck

Oh, match for Davis too

thank you!

bump again

I agree with takeitallin except I’d call UCSD a reach.

thanks, I just finished my sat so hopefully I get a score boost to help my chances

I just said UCSD match because my son got into Neuroscience and Physiiology this year with slightly lower GPA (I assume yours is UW) and SAT’s. He is a freshman there.

I believe mine is weighted, but would my course load lessen that a bit? :|

Was that your son’s unweighted UC gpa, or a total for all 4 years?

UC GPAs are weighted.
Here are the averages:
Ucsb- 4.07
Davis- 4.07
Irvine- 4.03
Ucsd- 4.11
Ucla- 4.15

These are all higher than you so you need to write a great essay and raise your sat. Your ECs look good as they are.

Thanks bparker, how much do UCs look at class rigor?

They make it a big thing to look at your grades “in the context of your school” so if you’re taking the hardest classes your school offers you’ll have a much better chance than a classmate who took all basic courses and basket weaving to get a 4.0.

Hc-
His weighted GPA was higher. Sorry- thought that was your UW. I believe his UC weighted was around a 4.25. Write a great essay!

I see, we’ll see how I do when scores come in, and I’ll work on my essays. Thanks!
