<p>My daughter got in UCLA as a freshman (English major) this year but I am really worried about my son. Id really appreciate it if you could give your opinion about my sons chances of getting in UCs. He will apply to all UCs except Merced.
He is a senior at Lowell High (a very competitive public school) in San Francisco and wants to major in Economics/Business.
His stats:
Chinese American, middle income
UC GPA: 3.92
High school gives no ranking.
SAT 1: Reading-650, Math-710, Writing-600, total: 1960
SAT II: Math2C: 740, Chemistry: 700, Chinese: 730
AP tests: AP US-3, AP Euro-3, AP Chem-4
He is taking AP Calculus BC, AP Stats, AP Physics, and AP Econ this semester and will take the AP tests next May.
His essays will be just average.

Community Services
Member of a local church. From 7th grade to present, volunteering at the church on a weekly basis with many tasks including playing the piano for the English service, organizing and presenting various seminars, and leading bible study sessions and the summer sports camp. 4 to 8 hours per week.
Assistant director of the Asian American Voter Project (AAVP) from 2002-2004. An organization dedicated to promoting civic awareness, community involvement, and voter registration. 600 hours.
Worked as an intern in San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsoms Office of Economic and Workforce Development and the Small Business Commission at SF City Hall. Summer of 2005, 200 hours.</p>
