UC Berkeley
UC Irvine
UC Los Angeles
UC Riverside
UC San Diego

All biology majors.

I will also be applying to privates as well so might as well ask you...

Stanford
Cornell
USC
Columbia

bumpp…also if anyone would like to read my personal statement, please pm me.

UC Berkeley, UC Los Angeles= hard to say with your SAT (a little low), but you should get in with your good GPA/in-state factor
UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UC San Diego= you’re in.

USC, Cornell- you have a chance here, but not amazing (if you could raise your scores by 100 points, you would be a stronger applicant)

Stanford, Columbia- I wouldn’t count on it unless you raise your scores

You sound like a pretty good applicant & I wish you the best of luck!

I just wanted to bump this up. I did not receive a supplement from either UC Berkley or UCLA so my decision has been made…I am either accepted or rejected.

What do you guys think it will probably be leaning toward with a UC GPA of 4.11 / 3.6 Unweighted and 2150 SAT?

Thanks

I’d disagree with historian17 in regards to your SAT. 2150 isn’t “amazing,” but it’s definitely good enough for any UC and will put you right in the running. UC GPA is also strong, and the upward trend will also be a nice benefit.

Berk/LA/SD are all high matches, in my opinion, and you have a very good chance at making in into at least one.

Irvine you should be in at, but Irvine can be a little random so who knows!? haha

In at UCR.

USC- your ECs are pretty average, but your solid GPA and scores should put you in a pretty good spot. It’s a toss up, similar to LA/Berk.

Stanford/Columbia- likely no. Good enough GPA, but SAT is on the low end and not enough good ECs.

@iiBoGo
Considering you didn’t get a supplement, I think you’re in UCLA already.

@newyorkmydreams

thats what im hoping but UCLA is really shady with admissions so its a toss up.

thanks for the replies :)

Get those SAT scores up about 100 points and you will be competitive at all of them, though your GPA is very good. I don’t think you will get into Stanford or Columbia, you have an okay shot at Cornell, UCB and USC okay chance, but again not too favorable, and i’d say you have a decent shot at all the other UC’s. Best of luck.

Chance me please:

@iibogo
I know what you mean. I got a supplement if you remember from my other posts. I’m like TRYING to convince myself that I have a chance at UCLA. Like when I look at stats and all, I’m just like worried, but if I consider everything with my ecs, stats, personal statement, and gpa I am like okay maybe… BUt really do you know if getting the supplement is actually positive?? or is it just to make me think I might get in but really get a rejection? As you can see, I’m paranoid…but I want to get into UCLA…and I hope we both get in. Haha :D.

what is your unweighted 10-11 GPA? That also plays a large roll
