<p>Chance me for Davis, Santa Barbara, Irvine, Santa Cruz....and Cal Poly for Csu's please.</p>

<p>Cal Poly intended major: Business</p>

<p>White Male
go to very good public school in CA</p>

<p>UC Gpa: 3.86</p>

<p>CSU gpa: about the same, between 3.8-3.9</p>

<p>for my classes i did mostly regular classes (2 ap's, 1 honors, 1 community college)</p>

<p>-community college class was intro to business</p>

<p>mostly A's, a few B's, no c's</p>

<p>SAT: 1960 (620cr, 680math, 660writing)</p>

<p>my sat was 1770 before today :)</p>

<p>SAT II: 660math II, taking 2nd subject test November (probably will be in the 500's)</p>

<p>-baseball team (9,10,11)
-cross country (9)
- AVID (9,10,11,12)
-CSF sealbearer
-100 community service hours</p>

<p>i applied for nhs, waiting for result...</p>

<p>my essays are strong</p>

<p>and one question, i know i have like no shot for UCLA, but is it worth applying anyways?</p>

<p>Congradulations on your SAT improvement. Mine also went up by quite a bit (1930 to 2170).</p>

<p>I also happen to be applying to california schools, so I’ve done my bit of research.</p>

<p>I ran your stats through UC stat finder and found that your changes for admission is bright.
These admission rates are for people with similar GPA and SAT score are from 2009, the most recent year.</p>

<p>Davis: 42% (2 years ago it was 72, so I’d say it’s actually around 60 unless the trend continues)
Irvine: 74% (again, it was much higher 2 years ago)
Santa Barbara: 85%
Santa Cruz: ?? probably 90+%(to protect identities, two SAT categories were merged so I can’t tell)</p>

<p>All Cal Poly schools are probably safties except San Luis Obispo.
UCLA is quite a reach, but you should go for San Diego. It’s probably a high match.
Realize this is my first time chancing and I’m only a senior so take my words with a grain of salt.</p>

<p>Yes!!! thanks both of you! i really like Davis, SB, and Slo…those are my top 3. i may apply to SD too, not sure. man going from 1770 to 1960 saved me :D</p>

<p>I dont want to sound like an a$$ but i dont think you will get into all of them. I think you will definitely get into santa cruz and then maybe get into davis or irvine. I dont think you will get into San Diego. Your uc gpa is low. Nice SAT. I hope you get in to all of them…</p>

<p>ya i didnt take that many ap’s so my uc isnt that high. but my unweighted is still like a 3.8…i don’t expect to get into all of them but if i get into SB alone ill be happy. i never wanted to go to sd in the first place. for me it goes 1)SB 2)Davis 3) SLO ill be pumped to go to any of the 3…</p>
