i mainly want to know my chances at UCB/UCLA/UCSD/UCI/UCD/UCSB and maybe other privates

thanks for all of your advice:)

Berkeley, ucla: Reaches if your GPA remains the same.

The thing is, try hard not to get any B+'s or C+'s because the pluses dont count. Conversely, the minuses also dont matter. You have a tough schedule, but B's and especially C's really hurt.

ucsd USC: Low Reach. Your EC's look good.

UCD, UCI, UCSB: Matches.

thanks a lot Bubbles...if i get all A's next year(haha as if..) will that improve chances for UCLA/UCSD/UCB?

hurdlesrock:

UCLA/UCB: Reach
UCSD: Slight Reach
UCD/UCSB/UCI: Match

any suggestions for improving my chances at UCSD or UCLA?

Bbbuuummpppppaaagggeeeeee

relax kid. you havent even taken the sat or sat 2s yet. how does breaking ur arm give u a c+ in chem?

It's impossible to estimate anyone's chances with such limited information. We don't know your class rank, your test scores, and only know 50% of the GPA the UC's will use to evaluate you.

However, if you want to get familiar with the UC requirements for testing/GPA/class rank, etc, now isn't a bad time: www.ucop.edu/pathways.

Best of luck!

breaking my arm...i was out of scholl for a week and a half in the last month of school...bunch of tests/ also final exam affected it...i also got metal plates inserted permanently so that took a long time to heal...

i took math2c and chem but they were terrible cuz i had no time to prepare and the score were horrible..plus im taking chem again in october and 2c a little later

Don't jump on the injury bandwagon. It's been overused, and won't help you.

alright...any more opinions?

buuummmmmmppppppppp

hey im ganna be a junior too and i have basibally the same grades. And im looking into the same colleges. next year i don't know if i should take AP stats or Ap us or oth. wut do you think?

u shudn't take ap ush...i took it this year and it killed my gpa...plus the exam was so hard...all my time was spent trying to get a B in that class when I could have pulled up my gpa in all the other subjects...trust me
