sorry for all the info
can i get into cal poly slo, sdsu, uc berkeley, ucla, ucsd, ucsb, uc davis?

im guessing a solid no from ucla and Berkeley, but give me your opinion.

UCB: No
UCLA: No
UCSD: No

UCI/UCSB/UCD: Yes

The Mid-Tier UC's (UCI/UCSB/UCD) are around a match-safe match for you. Because of your SAT, UCSD is a slight reach-reach and UCB/UCLA are reaches. Best of luck!

Here is a chart for average admits to the UC's that might give you a better idea of where you fit in.

University of California - Admissions

bump .......

RE: ucchris

How are the top-tier UC's a flat out no when a 28 ACT is the middle 50% for UCSD and UCLA? I hate how people seem to ignore this most of the time on collegeconfidential.

To sdchargers, your GPA and ACT meet the averages for the top-UCs (although a slightly higher ACT would increase your chances, a 28 is still good enough in my opinion).

So here's what I say:

UCB: Slight-Reach
UCLA: Slight-Reach
UCSD: Match
UCI: In
UCSB: In
UCD: In
Cal Poly: In

Berkeley: reach
UCLA: slight reach - reach
UCSD: match
UCI/UCSB/UCD: match - safe match
