UCI/UCSB: Safe Match (Engineering)

thanks alot flopsy.

UCLA engineering program is really difficult to get in without a strong SAT score. But deca will play in ur favor. What school do you go to?

corona del mar high.
in academic decathlon, i won a medal in math and in the essay. i dont know if that will help though. my goal is really ucsd. ucla would be great but if i can get into sd i will be very happy. i also took community college classes.

UCLA - reach (ave gpa ~ 4.2 at UCLA)
UCSD - slight reach
UCI / UCSB - match
the rest probably safety?

Contrary to the above post, I think UCSD is also a match.

if i really get around 1920 in nov. then will ucsd really be a match?

what do you mean by reach, slight reach? does reach mean(in a nice way) not getting in? sorry just wanted to get that cleared - and like THE_Who, I thought it would be hard to get into UCSD without high sat scores especially computer science engineering

b u m p

yeah wut exactly is reach? when u say reach for berkely/LA n slight reach for sd, does that mean the person is almost sure to get into one of the top 3? I'm confused,

I'm not sure but match = 50%
reach =10%
i really don'tknow - :(

Aim for a higher score than 1920. 1870 and 1920 is not that much different.
