<p>Female, Classified as asian but generally decline to state</p>

<p>Intended Major: Political Science or Pre-Law(if offered)</p>

<p>From a small low budget rural high school that hasn't had a student accepted into an Ivy in 7 years...</p>

<p>GPA: 3.2 out of possible 4.1
ranked 14 out of 102</p>

<p>I took the majority of the schools offered classes already so will it make a difference that i took Calculus Physics and Physiology as a junior??</p>

<p>volunteer @ local religious centers and a retirement facility.</p>

<p>I know the outlook's pretty bleak but I would appreciate any comments that would help me get a general feel for what kind of places I should look into.

<p>Any particular schools you are interested in?</p>

<p>if you bring up your GPA (at least a 3.5) and SAT score by a little, I think that you can be a decent candidate for some of the top 30 colleges.</p>

<p>If you are a soon to be senior, it may be too late to effect your GPA. Not sure about the latest SAT scores CSU’s accept.</p>

<p>At her school this is still top 15%. GPA, without context, is meaningless. And her SAT scores are 100 plus points above the average at SB and Davis. At a school that doesn’t send many to top schools there are probably many low income/first generation students–perhaps she’s one.</p>

<p>I believe she has a real shot at those schools, all of the md tier UCs and most CSUs in fact.</p>
