I know that you have to send it to one UC or CSU and rest will get it.
However, for CSU’s people keep saying CSU Mentor, and doing something on that,
However, I think they took that down. So if I send SAT score to any CSU (i am applying to 2) will it be fine?
Also should I submit subject test scores to CSU?
CSU’s do not consider SAT subject tests on their admission decisions. Some students do use SAT subject tests to fulfill the a-g course requirements if these courses are not available (ie Home schoolers). If you are sending your SAT I scores, they are still part of the package but would not spend the extra money if you do not need them.
Cal State Apply replaces CSU Mentor so send your scores to one CSU and you will be fine.
So I just encountered a contradiction today with the “send scores to one CSU and the rest of the campuses you applied to will get them as well” (son sent scores to one CSU campus but applied to three additional ones). One of the three campus portal sites indicates the scores have not been received, so I called the CSU application contact to ask whether the additional campuses will receive the scores. The female on the phone (a student possibly?) indicated the scores needed to be sent via Mentor in order for all the campuses to receive them (in spite of the fact I was looking at their web page which indicated otherwise), and that I would need to send College Board an additional score request using the code 3594 (the Mentor code). I just checked with the admission office at the one CSU campus he requested his scores be sent to, and they did have his scores. On the OTHER hand…applications were sent to four UCs as well (officially requested scores to be sent to three of the campuses and figured the fourth would receive it passively), and the one campus he didn’t request scores being sent to (Berkeley) indicated they received the SAT scores! Go figure! I’m not too comfortable trusting that the other CSU campuses will be passively receiving the SAT scores, so I am going to put in an additional score request using the Mentor code. It’s unfortunate that it’s an extra cost, but I wouldn’t want that to be the limiting factor in the schools deciding admission for him.
so i shud send to ALL?
If you have not sent College Board the request to send your scores yet (I’m assuming that the deadline for requesting four free college choices has already passed), I would simply make the one request using the CSU Mentor code (3594) and pay for the one request ($12) vs sending the request to the two individual campuses ($24). It looked like the code registered as Cal State Apply, Long Beach- but that is where they process the Mentor requests, so don’t worry!
