UC Davis 2017 Transfer Official Thread

@loyalfan49. I know right mine says for condition number 1 that I need to complete all planned or in progress classes with a 3.3 overall in UC transferable courses I don’t know if it’s talking about a 3.3 overall or a 3.3 this semester.

I’m only taking two classes so I would need to get an A and a B at minimum. I think that kind of dumb since everywhere else wants a 2.0. It also says I need a C in my last required major course that I’m currently taking so I don’t know if I’m misunderstanding the GPA FOR THE LAST SEMESTER. but a 3.3 the last semester is a drag.

@loyalfan49 My units don’t even correlate. Its weird! It shows that I took one class TWICE in the same semester. The classes on my UC application are normal though… I’m still freaking out tbh. I updated them to “never enrolled” too

@AdamA don’t worry bro. It should mines said 24.0 units which is 16 semester units
(Its correct) try seeing it because they wrote it in quater units

@fcb1010 i see , you gonna ask them? Because its weird how its so high for the last semester

@loyalfan49. Ya I am that is way to high in my point maybe 3.0 since that would be B average but since I’m only taking 2 classes I would need an A and B to Satisfy the 3.3. I’m also going to post my comments fictions to see if somebody understands them better than I do lol. Nevertheless I’m still waiting for UCLA and UCB!

@loyalfan49 The thing is, on my UC application, the classes are correct. But my colleges aren’t. The college from the online class I didn’t enroll in is still on my UC application and I couldn’t even remove it at the time. BUT my classes are all correct.

@adamA ohh i see, I reupdated back in January and have proof. From what i can see the others had the same thing so im guessing the way it says "non-transferrable " on them (even tho they are) is a way to show that they know we update(i still messaged since i panick so easily:/ )
But yeah the contract also states to complete all TRANSFERABLE courses so we should be set.
@fcb1010 you should definitely ask homie, imma make sure as well. I think they usually do that for tag
2.8 is kinda high but doable for me

Everyone just call them on Monday! For some reason they really screwed everyones applications and conditions of admission.

I called them right away when I saw there was an issue and they were able to change it for me. There’s not much WE can do but the ADMISSIONS OFFICE can definitely change things if they need to.

@loyalfan49 Which contract? The class I didn’t enroll in was a class I needed but couldn’t get because it did not work with the schedule of my other classes. For my TAG agreement, I needed to complete one class this semester with a B or above, which will be completed. Did you use the UC Davis myAdmissions site to update your coursework in January or just TAU? Unfortunately I did it through just TAU on the UC apps site.

@loyalfan49. If I recall my tag said I needed to complete two major courses with a C or better. I also needed to maintain a 3.30 GPA on UC transferable courses by the end of spring term. Maybe I only need a 2.0 the last semester but I’m still going to call them but after UCLA and UCB have announced their decisions. It’s kind of dumb if I actually need a 3.30 the last semester but it’s also doable (more studying lol). I’m also not to worried since UCD is my top choice the only reason I’m considering Davis is that they offered me avenue which I like the benefits of it! I’ll still study more because maybe UCLA and UCB wants a higher that 3.0 GPA the last term lol.

@adamA oh i updated it through the Uc application, not the uctap website you know the
Admissions.universityofcalifornia one. Where you submit your application and TAU.

@fcb1010 oh yeah Ucb and LA require a 3.0 so definitely ! 2.8 aint bad but imma call them just to be sure and I gotta drop this class Which doesn’t articulate on assist. Heard they are cool.

@universityforme what mistake did they have?
I got to ask what the 2.8 means cuz usually it says 2.0 for all other uc’s besides cal and LA.
Also did u have the same courses show up on your credit report?

@loyalfan49. Okay sounds good! Let me know what they tell you!

@loyalfan49 Oh okay so you didn’t update it through the UC Davis myAdmissions site?

@fcb1010 fosho, we worrying to much hella people said that once you’re in dont stress.
@adamA yup in January it was through the my application site so don’t worry cuz uc davis site only opens up to admitted students i think. Yesterday i did message then thru uc davis portal site because i was stressed so imma call and ask about the courses and gpa

@loyalfan49 On my conditions of admission, it said that I need to maintain a 3.6 GPA. But since I TAGed my contract said 3.2. So I called them to let them know that my tag only required a 3.2 overall. And I havent look at my course on my credit report yet

@universityforme when’d you call them? Do they have a number that can be called during weekends? Itll be hard waiting till monday lol. @loyalfan49 That’s true. I REALLY hope they don’t rescind my admission because of one class that wasn’t even supposed to be on my coursework in the first place. I’ve been waiting 3 years for this  Worked really hard.

@AdamA don’t worry same here worked pretty hard! Can’t be worrying too much they are pretty linient and we have proof that we clearly didn’t take them on our app update!

@loyalfan49 That’s true. The weird thing is though is that my classes are all correct, but the colleges attended still include the college that I was going to take the class I didn’t enroll in at. I couldn’t take it off at the time and when I would delete it, it would just say “changes saved” so I assumed it had to update on their system for it to show. I’m scared THATS gonna be a problem/discrepancy. Otherwise, my transcript on the UC app site is perfectly normal.

@AdamA i feel ya it says non transferrable next to the classes i did not enroll and update in January and my contract says to complete the transferable courses so i think we are set (might have to drop a course tho but its not a part of my major)
So imma definitely call em
