UC Davis 2017 Transfer Official Thread

@stanufb So after some research I’ve found that transfers are guaranteed a spot in the Student Housing Apartments(SHA) which are run and owned by UC Davis. Check out these links. Prices vary depending on whether you choose a single or double occupancy room.

@allebasi4 Hopefully everything’s good haha. I’ll report back on monday. My TAU is perfect too lol its just uc davis’ course work that’s messed up.

@titleist07 awesome! thanks a lot!

I’ll definitely check out all of the SHA Apartment complexes when I visit. I’ve seen a lot of reviews for each apartment complex on the Davis wiki page.

does anyone know how much the apartments for on campus housing cost? I know it depends on how many people you live with but it seems to be pretty expensive…

Same, Davis is having a transfer student decision day on May 12. We can probably get more information there about housing. Also, can we sign up for orientation even if one hasn’t SIR yet?

I wanna check out their transfer day! Anyone else thinking of going?

I don’t see how you could sign up for orientation if you aren’t a student but idk @blueowl

I am thinking about going, but I am not sure how useful it will be. I heard they also have transfer orientation sessions through June so I may go to that one instead.

I called. We should be set.
They accommodated my class droped plus said that the schedule is fine

Anyone know if us transfers can take classes at Davis this summer? I would much rather take them there instead of my CC.

do you think there will be a problem if I withdraw from a class but take it during the summer?

@AdamA I called and worked things out with an admission counselor… we went through everything and she made sure it was okay and then she had me update it on myadmissions. I don’t know why everything got all messed up but they’re really helpful in fixing it.

@handegg I think it depends on the class… safest bet is to call the admissions office. I just got off the phone with them about withdrawing from my bio class and she said I wasn’t contracted to it so it wouldn’t affect my admissions. You’d probably be fine.

@allebasi4 Awesome! I’m gonna call in a bit. Thanks for the update

@allebasi4 same. She was really cool she said not to worry because it was already noted that those classes are not prt of my schedule

@loyalfan49 @allebasi4 Yup ahaha just called. Told me i’m good. Also, I just needed one class to be able to get in – Which was my last TAG contract class.

What a waste of a weekend being scared about nothing hahahaha

Oh my god come on cc quite spamming my comments

@AdamA @adamA LMAO I know right. I was even still worried cuz he said submit the update and we’ll let you know about the corse but the lady and then even he said don’t worry everything suould be fine.

Good luck for the rest of the semester!!!

Does anyone know if Davis is really strict on their Contract of Admissions guidelines? There’s a slight possibility I might not meet the 3.2 requirement for this semester and I want to know where I stand.
