<p>zapcode- i actually don’t think there’s a comparable major at most of those schools. managerial econ is in the ag college, and is more focused on ag policy. basically, monsanto here we come! seriously though, I for one am super excited, because I find things like the current food market speculation really interesting, and Davis has a unique program that is nationally ranked [Rankings</a> at IDEAS: Agricultural Economics Departments](<a href=“http://ideas.repec.org/top/top.agecon.html]Rankings”>Economics rankings: Agricultural Economics Departments | IDEAS/RePEc)</p>
<p>Davis has an econ program, but it’s in a different college/requires totally different classes. It’s rated below cal, la, and sd, but above all the other uc’s.</p>
