UC Davis Admissions

Hello Everyone,
Just had a quick question. I applied to UC Davis and got my TAG acceptance, however my GPA dropped from a 3.23 to a 2.7 because of a D in Botany and F in Calculus 1. I finished all of my IGETC and I'm currently making up my calculus class which should raise my GPA back to atleast a 2.8-2.9 before i go to Davis. My grades dropped due to family issues and I made sure to note that when I updated my classes for Spring Semester. I applied as a Nutrition science major. Do you think I'm still competitive for admission even though the scholastic requirement is 2.8?

Is anyone going to reply to this topic? Lol

^It always helps to post on the correct forum, the Admissions forum is for fr applicants.

Moving thread.

I’m going to shoot the gun here and say you will definitely get denied. Make up those classes and apply next year.

Yeah. You’ll probably be denied. To be competitive you’d need at least a 3.2.

Your TAG is definitely nullified, and your chances of getting in are super low now. I don’t see why you didn’t also retake botany…is it required? If not, you could try appealing after decisions are sent out, although the chances of them accepting your appeal are very, very low.
